Hi what a great site I'm just sorry i didn't see it before my partner and i bought a Saxo from Arnold Clark Inverness we have had the car for 3 weeks now and so far we have had to take it back in a couple of times for electrical faults now we went to pick the car up yesterday after they had it for a day and noticed a couple of scratches clustered together on the bonnet so when i got home i called the service manager who was very rude and abrupt and i quote he said to me "i don't care about your f***ing car" before he hung up on me so i called back and asked to speak to the sales manager who said to me to bring my car in for him to look at it so i arranged a time with him i got there and he arrived 25 minutes late told me i must of scratched it myself and offered to sell me a touch u p paint at witch point i told him to shove his touch up paint and he told me didn't want my fffing custom anyway to witch i replied he did when he sold me the car and i was signing A FINANCE AGREEMENT FOR A LOT OF HARD EARNED CASH. Arnold Clark u really are the biggest bunch of cowboys ever and i will never buy a car from u again. . |

I'm totally shocked at the way AC appears to treat his customers. I was about to spend several thousands on a family car. Guess what garage I won't be going to? I have a company car which has been to AC for service, not any more if I can get someone else. And I will be suggesting to my other 6 colleagues that the servicing of their vehicles is done elsewhere. My car was serviced by them on the Friday. The following Tuesday it broke down on the motorway! Back to AC where they claim a pipe had split. Because it is a fleet car they rip you off. The guy who gave me a lift to my office whilst they repaired the car said it was high time the Office of Fair Trading examined AC's
organization and the garages he was involved in. This sight has really opened my eyes.

In July 2002 I bought a 98R Peugeot 406 from AC Greenock, AC
promised to MOT the car prior to letting me pick it up and sort a few problem I had noticed during my test drive, while driving the car home I noticed a slight whine from the power
steering and a nasty vibration from the brakes, I had noticed the brake problem during my test drive and they had admitted the disks were at fault and would replace them at the same time as
MOT ing the car (NEVER DONE). I checked the power
steering level and to my surprise there was little or no fluid, finding this I thought I should check the rest of the car over, the brake fluid level was under minimum along with the Oil level of the car. When I
approached AC they said I would have to book the car in for investigation however armed with my new and obviously dodgy MOT certificate and the threat of contacting the Ministry of Transport they took the car in and sorted all the levels out but then told me there was nothing wrong with the brakes, I requested that the salesman and anyone else who cared to join us took a drive of the car to see if there opinion changed but was told they were too busy. I took the car to another Peugeot dealer (NOT AC) and asked there opinion not to my surprise it was the disks, Posing as Joe Bloggs Peugeot Owner I then took the car to AC Hamilton Rd Glasgow (AC Peugeot Dealer) and asked there opinion, again they said it was the disks. Finally armed with this AC Greenock agreed to change the disks. Monkey Boys.

I am a fleet driver and it has to be said that AC are ripping off fleet cars left, right and centre. I almost got sacked when my boss got the service bill for my car, because I hadn't told him first so he could budget. Then it broke down. Trouble is, AC told me "we don't make up the fleet bills until the end of the week. You'll just have to sign a blank form." Basically, I have to sign a blank cheque. Funny how they always manage to get the bills organized in time if you are paying cash! This was Crow Rd Volkswagen and I can strongly recommend Ingram's in Paisley as an alternative. Arnold Clark is nothing but a total, complete and utter conman who cares nothing for his customers or employees. . |

Booked our Renault Laguna into ACs in Paisley to get a damaged front bumper repaired, Car was returned three days late with one side of the car with original silver trim and ACs black trim down the other side ?? Oh and the headlamp washer fell off on the way home. Car got serviced but no service book filled in, AC said "you don't need to bother with that"?? Complained to Renault who contacted Arnold Clark, seemed to matter then that things were put right. Don't think we will go back when the car gets renewed next month for our delivery of promises. Have a look in the Vauxhall showroom at Linwood, they have bran-new Omegas with door mirrors broken, In the showroom!!!. |

Hi, what a site! Wish I'd found it before I bought my Renault Megane from this shower! Only a few days after purchasing it from one of their Kirkcaldy branches, the Megane started juddering & generally driving like a bag of rusty nails. Returned to AC Dealership...Not interested..."You'll have to take it to Renault" Ended up in the Renault dealer in Kirkcaldy's very friendly workshop reception who looked after me very well, fixed the problem while I waited (faulty ignition coil) & even made me coffee & washed the car for me! Pity Arnold's lot hadn't shown a bit of interest! I know where my next Megane is coming from. Well done Gail & Gary at Glenvarigill Motors in Kirkcaldy. Thanks for a job well done!. |

I would totally agree, they do suck! We purchased our car 1 year ago and have had to outlay over £500 to fix the car. I had a 1 year warranty but obviously any problems I have had have not been covered. My central locking was supposedly covered with the warranty but after getting them to do the work they informed me the part that was broken was not covered! Obviously I didn't know that and they weren't overly keen to offer this information until they had completed the repair and they charged me over £180. When I got my 'free' MOT, I pointed out to them my heating had not been working since they last worked on the car, I believe they had left a wire loose. They then had the cheek to charge over £100 to fix their mistake! My MOT cost a lot more than that though. I have had nothing but grief with my car since the day I bought it, and my central locking is broken yet again. I would strongly recommend any person thinking about purchasing a car - go elsewhere. The only t! think that is professional about the outfit is 'ripping you off'.. |

I bought a 1998 Vauxhall Vectra from the Arnold Clark Branch at Jordanhil. There were some faults with it but I agreed with the salesman that if they would repair the faults I would purchase the car. He (the Salesman) said that all the faults would be rectified at the pre-delivery inspection, and we agree that two new front tyres would be part of the deal. On delivery of the car the salesman said all the faults were repaired, but within a few miles it was apparent that the faults had not been repaired. After phoning him, they agreed to take the car back and we arranged for a local branch of AC to do the work. I took the car in and when I received it back the five faults were not repaired and only one new tyre. After some heated argument we again had to take the car back but the two major points - spongy brakes and suspension knock had not been repaired. Again I was back at the branch but they could not find the fault seemingly!!! We have agreed that if the knocking gets worse even though it is outside the warranty I can get it repaired. i have given up on them, the knocking has increased but I have no confidence in the Arnold Clark Organization. I will not buy or recommend anyone buy a car from them. Promises undelivered. They promise much but give very little. Their orders to staff is to give away as little as they can get away with, I know as I was a employee and worked on service reception!. |

I bought a Ford Ka from the Aberdeen branch recently, it had a Service before I bought it and after asking them to check the Wiring Harness out due to this being a fault with the Ka, and SURPRISE SURPRISE, got the car from them, Brake fluid cap not even screwed down was just sitting loose under the bonnet, and the Central Locking went within a couple of days of the 30 day guarantee running out, thankfully I managed to get that fixed at NO COST, because I was well peeved off and didn't let it lie........Good money was being paid for that car. It was the least they could do EVENTUALLY..................... After only managing to temporarily fix the problem which only lasted 4 days another SURPRISE?????Not Good Luck to anyone else who buys a car from them. |
