I got my last car from Arnold Clark But after I had heard a radio advertisement on Real Radio for Arnold Clark stating that Arnold Clark looks after its customers, and if the customer finds the same used car cheaper anywhere, Arnold Clark would double the difference. Out of interest I had a look to see if I could, I was surprised to find one that was almost identical. See below for comparison. I was told that when i bought the car that it would come with auto care for two years. the reason i was told that it came with this is because the previous owner had traded it in with the car. After all the details had been put through finance i was later told that they had to drop the auto car - ( which should have not made a difference because it came free with the car and a customer had already paid for it) I phoned the sales manager and asked why this was he said he "made a mistake it did not come with the car" i was raging. They use lie's to make a deal and then go back on it - i would like to see Arnold Clark brought to justice 19.11.2003 |

Just had my car back from him (don't want to say his name) been told road tested vehicle not cutting out at present carry out wds checks no dtc's present
reprogrammed pcm with latest update road tested ok on test CUSTOMER TO MONITOR. must be my imagination when I go out at 5 in the morning and it won't
start. If you live in Ayrshire and you are stuck at sea and my lifeboat is called out please

Have used a local company for 4 of my cars and last year used
Arnold sucks will never use them again, purchased a 306 Peugeot before test drive it had a flat tyre oh sir don't worry we will fix it he
said. spare keys and smart card ha that's a joke took me 6 months to get spare keys and smart card after 30 phone calls. Took the car home yup you got it next morning flat tyre. As soon as the sales had my signature on the paper work he didn't give a shit, 9 mths later went back to local garage and what service they give. love the web site Arnold does Suck Never again 20.11.2003 |

3 months ago I bought a Peugeot 206cc 12500 - my first car with my first job after university. To date it has needed 2 new tyres, front brake pads, back brake pads, front brake disks, problem with the exhaust manifold, suspension (struts), new wheel hub - because the breakdown service I paid for (along with an extended warranty), refused to come out on a Saturday night. This meant I had to go to another tyre company to replace tyre. Arnold Clark say that this company have destroyed the hub. I have also been driving around with the wrong number plate for 3 months. A total of £810. This is not taking into account the telephone calls and visits my parents and I have had to make to try to resolve the problems plus no car for which I am paying £300 per month. Arnold Clark refuses to take any responsibility. So far I have also contacted the Complaints division and Trading Standards and have had no help. 20.11.2003 |

I am always wary of monopolies. It must be because I work as a freelance IT consultant, and find that the big guns always bring in people slightly inferior and pretend they are superior to myself. I am honest, damned hard working and a real value to whatever customer I work for. I have seen Arnold Clark everywhere, on every street corner it appears. So I thought I'd get my car serviced at a NISSAN Dealer ship, so to find one, I go to google, and do the following search: NISSAN Service +Glasgow 1st in the list -- your website.
