Magic, pure magic. It's not nice to laugh at the misfortunes
of others, but I canny help it. Great site. I was looking for Arnold's
actual website to peruse his fine selection of quality used cars and found
this instead.... 40 minutes later and Arnie's now the last person I'd buy
anything from. Well done for hitting the wee greyster back in his pocket.
I've sent your link to as many folk as I can. 21.1.2004

Where do I start. Ordered brand new Mg zr160 from
AC Queensferry rd Edi.That was in July 2003 finally picked car up end
Sept 2003.Was informed by salesman that came with sunroof, 6 stack Cd
player & spare wheel. When car was delivered it had the wrong colour
seats, took another week to get the right colour seats. The car didn't
have sunroof or Cd player, was told by salesman that he made a mistake.
The reason I wanted this car was because of those items which I later
found out were not included. Had the salesman on the phone because the
finance papers had got lost 4 weeks after I took delivery. Had the
windows tinted been back twice to get them done properly. Still not the
way we want them but AC don't want to know any more.4 months on still
not happy returned to AC and were told they would give us most of our
money back to choose a new car, we choose a new car but they decide to
give us a lot less than agreed. Advice to people thinking of buying from
them, don't unless you!
want ripped off.

After Sale Service
I purchased a Daewoo Lanos (SA52 FOD) from your sale room in Glasgow last January ('03) I have not had any correspondence from your sales department or customer services departments. I have only recently been made aware that I do not have a service/maintenance logbook, which I recall was supposed to have been sent to myself, as soon as your stocks had been replenished.
Also, I was supposed to have been issued with 3 years AA cover, which I have not received. I am quite ignorant, with regards to the after sale service I am expected to receive, as I have never bought a new motor before. Therefore, and after speaking with a friend, I feel that I have been let down by yourselves and literally left to my own devises, which I now feel has been a deliberate strategy of Arnold Clark, as my experience bares witness, devised to negate any responsibility, on Arnold Clark's part, for the proper care and service of my car.
I am extremely disappointed and angry to find out this. I am now in urgent need of my service record logbook, which should have been supplied a year ago. I also require any other details, information or supply of any other items, which should have been in receipt of a year ago and am unaware of at this moment in time. I realise that my car will need a service and a new MOT by now and I would like to know exactly what is your requirements regarding service and communication of after sales service.
I would also like to know why the above has not been delivered or issued to myself after such along period of time and why I have been completely forgotten about and apparently ignored. Is your policy simply to sell the car to the customer then ignore and forget them, as you walk away towards the bank to make another deposit?
Please be assured that I will never again give Arnold Clark any future business should I not receive a satisfactory response from this letter. 22.1.2004 |
